A lot of people don’t put a lot of thought into the clothes they buy. For them, the clothes they wear are just something to look good in for a little while until they’re either put away or given away. Naturally, in the time it takes to wear out a set of clothes, most people have already given them away at least once. Some sets of clothes will actually go through three or four owners. But does their label really reflect their quality?
The quality of a piece of clothing isn’t reflected in its price most of the time. The same kind of shirt you get for $30 in one store may only be $5 in another, and they end up lasting as long and looking as good as one another. The ultimate value of a piece of clothing isn’t measured by the insignia on the breast, but by how well it wears.
Unfortunately, a lot of people don’t see value in this way. To them, value is only reflected in the overall price or the initial look of most anything, and clothing certainly counts for that. While the clothes you wear may make or break you professionally, they can also cause you harm financially if you don’t seek out good deals. A lot of people have had to declare bankruptcy because a few too many shopping trips took them over the edge and into debts they couldn’t afford. Labels don’t make good clothing, but finding solid value does.
