Announcing your engagement can be very exciting. Since you are excited, you want everyone else to be, too. You also want to look great in your engagement picture due to your excitement. Here are some tips on what to wear.
In your picture, you want to look just as stunning as if it were your wedding day, without the dress. Some of the most intimate pictures are those holding hands, which draw attention to your engagement ring. So make sure you manicure is up to date. Focus your attention on your top since that is what will generally be seen in your picture. Try to find a fancy top you look nice in.
Along with your outfit, you want your hair to look nice. Try to match your hair with your outfit. For example, if your outfit is more simple than elaborate, wear your hair simple, but if your outfit is fancy, you may want to do more with your hair such as curl it or put it up in an intricate bun.
You may also consider wearing jewelry, but make sure you don’t wear something that will steal the focus of your engagement ring. A simple necklace or pair of earrings will compliment your face, but make sure your jewelry is not elaborate so that the focus stays on your ring.
Try to somewhat match your outfit with your fiance, at least to the point where your outfits look decent next to each other. You do not want him to be wearing jeans and a t-shirt while you are dressed in a fancy dress. If he does not care what he wears, then you can wear whatever you want and pick out his outfit for him.
